As we saw previously in the subject of Fundaments of Applied Linguistics, the Language Acquisition refers to the cognitive process which a human can understand, perceive, and comprehend language, this language later can be used to communicate, using words and logical sentences to produce a communicative process, the most of all  language processes are located on the Broca’s area of our brain, this area is located in the left frontal lobe which is responsible for speech production and articulation. Also, some of these processes are located in the Wernicke’s area, in the left temporal lobe. This area is often associated with language development and comprehension.

Having this in mind, we can easily say that all the language acquisition process are located on the left hemisphere of our brain, but we have to consider that the left hemisphere also have handles reading, writing, logical thinking and calculations process, that’s why it’s called the “logical” side of the brain, on the other hand we have the right hemisphere who is responsible for the image processing, spatial thinking. We can follow the popular belief that the left side of the brain is logical, and the right side is creative.

Both sides of the brain are connected via nerve fibers, in a healthy brain, the left side and the right side communicate with each other, making multiple processes at the same time. We must mention, the human brain is symmetrical, this makes that the right cerebral hemisphere receives sensory input from and directs movement on the left side of the body, while the left hemisphere governs corresponding functions for the right side. In the knowledge of that, we can continue with our hypothesis. We all know that “art” involves many disciplines, most of them involve movement skills like drawing, painting, sculpture, among others. As we must remember, the right hemisphere is responsible for spatial thinking, image processing and all related to “creative”. Our hypothesis stands that people who are highly involved with the artistic world tend to have a high level of language acquisition because of the balance of their brain hemispheres.
